Detailed Description

NT2 USB 3.0 – Dual Bay RAID Enclosure
The ultra compact design of the NT2 makes this dual-bay RAID storage enclosure one of the smallest in the market, yet it still packs a punch when it comes to flexibility and performance. Installing the 3.5″ SATA hard drives is quick and easy, thanks to the screw-less design. By incorporating USB 3.0 SuperSpeed technology, Akitio’s NT2 U3 is able to break the USB 2.0 barrier, delivering up to 10 times the speed of the older USB connection. At the same time, it is still backwards compatible with the widely used USB 2.0 technology.
Compact & Screw-less Design
The small footprint and screw-less design makes this the ideal storage expansion for your crowded desktop. In a matter of seconds, hard drives can be installed or replaced without any extra tools.
2-Bay RAID Storage Enclosure
The NT2 is designed to house up to two 3.5″ SATA hard drives with the option to setup your drives according to your own preferences. For data security select RAID 1 (mirror copy), for performance select RAID 0 and to create two independent volumes, select Non-RAID.

* In order for the computer to access volumes larger than 2TB, both the hardware and Operating System need to support large volumes (e.g.: WinVista 32bit/64bit or Mac OS 10.4 and above). Due to the OS limitation, Windows XP only support up to 2 TB (maximum), Windows Vista and Windows 7 will support more than 4 TB.
** USB 3.0 is currently not available for the Mac but the device can still be used with the older USB 2.0 connection.

Awesome enclosure, so easy to install, No screws, and it really does work well with my 2 USB3.0 plugs. A super way to move and retain large files. Strongly reccomended, just don't know why it is sop hard to find...

This is awesome for storing all my movie files. It'll be a while before I run out of room with 3TB (2 x 1.5TB). Some of the HD movie files I download are up to 10GB now, so having USB3.0 really speeds things up.

I installed 2 x 2TB drives and set it to RAID1 (Mirror). It was really easy to set up. I use this to store all my files especially my pictures and videos which I do not want to ever lose.

Totally exceeded my expectations. The construction is completely solid. The Aluminum feels very dense. The exterior polish is smooth.
