I couldn't decide what to choose between Panasonic and other brands, and one of my friends recommended this Oster brand. I and my other friend bought this machine the next day, and we both are so satisfied with it so far!

Don't waste your money on any other brand. This thing is bulletproof. I have made pizza dough, pita dough, and innumerable breads in this thing. I just sits on my counter and works when I need it (almost every week).

had the forerunner of this model for 6 years and had no complaints. The person who bought it for me 6 years ago bought a new one for me this Christmas, assuming I was ready for a new one. I'm certainly glad to have a new one and am also very happy with it, however, the old one still works just fine, after 6 years of heavy use. We make pizza dough, fruit breads, french bread, multigrain bread with it. It's great to set the timer and wake up to the smell of fresh bread or make the dough in the machine and bake it in the oven to make real bakery bread.

I have owned and used this breadmaker for 5 years now and there is no reason to get another one. The best part is it comes out with a loaf of bread that looks like a loaf of bread, not some tube of baked stuff.
This one is reliable.
As for making a good loaf of bread, one of the best hints I have found to follow is to measure your flour not by volume but by weight - a cup is 5 oz. This is what bakers do because all kinds of things can affect the volume of the flour you're measuring; moisture, settling, etc.

I have had an Oster Breadmaker for 3 or 4 years. It has served our family of 6 very well. I have made delicious bagels, crescent rolls, dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, and yes, even delious varieties of breads. I have never had a flop of a recipe unless it was my fault, ie., forgot to put the mixing blade on or out of date yeast. This has been an extremely busy machine in our house, with many back to back batches made. Not only has it served my family well, but also many families whom I have made meals for. I always get favorable comments on the rolls or bread that I have made to accompany their meal. When it finally stopped working, my husband didn't bat an eyelash about purchasing another Oster just like it. I'm finally purchasing one on-line as I've had trouble finding one locally. We have missed it greatly. This is a great breadmaker for a great price. Happy breadmaking!
