You can play videos, music, and photos saved on a USB storage devices such as USB thumb drive, USB hard disk, or iPOD™ through the 2 USB connectors on the front panel. This device supports almost all formats of HDD and has the most interchangeability. The Prodigi PD-100N can also connect to your home computer network (wired or wirelessly through an optional USB Wifi Dongle) to stream digital movies, videos, music, and photos from your PC. This player provides flexible networking support via either SAMBA client or UPnP to access thousands of digital content stored around your home. You and your family can even watch photo slide show with your favorite music playing in the background.

This unit plays almost all the file formats. Easy to setup and use. Price is cheap too. I am thinking to buy few more as Christmas gifts this year.

Can play almost various video format (MKV, AVI, RMVB….)
Easy to resume an unfinished video file, even if the power was disconnected, or another video file was played
Using time-search feature by pressing the play button while playing a video, and bringing up the sub-menu to select title/chapter/time to jump to.
the ability to turn on/off, re-size, recolor, and relocate subtitles and supports multiple languages
the ability to read of iPod database, and charge it at the same time (iPod classic only for now).

I've had the Prodigi PD-100N for 6 months. It takes everything I throw at it, and plays them all beautifully. I'm listening to music now. The unit feeds my surround-sound audio/video system, and the music sounds great. I just finished viewing a TV show in HD that my satellite set-up only provides in SD. So much better in HD. The new remote is very nice. I bought the unit with the older (smaller) style remote. When the new one came out, they provided it for a $5 shipping fee. Can't beat that! I had a couple of questions/problems setting it up. Prodigi responded quickly to my inquiries with solid answers that solved my situation. Can't imagine finding anything that would do the job better than the Prodigi. And with great customer service, how can you go wrong? It does tend to run a bit "hot." I have it elevated on top of my satellite receiver, and have not experienced any over-heating problems. I give this a solid recomendation, and I'm not easy to please.

Bought this media player for my son for his birthday. He's been hounding me for a media player for a while now, but didn't want to spend the money. So he showed me this one because it's within the budget. He seems to be very happy with it. We've been watching movies at night and I have to say the quality of the picture is excellent. I didn't know something so small can display something so clear. By the way, I'm not very technical. My son put our family photos on a flash drive and show me how to play it. This is my favorite feature.

This thing plays everything! Nothing flashy here, if that's what you're looking for. It does one thing extremely well, it PLAYS everything! (h264/x264 MKV, mp4, mov, mpg (mpeg1&2), DVD ISO's, BD ISO's, you name it!)
So go ahead and download your torrents of TV shows and Movies, then stream them right to this great device!
