Soleus Air introduces its new line of Energy Star rated portable dehumidifiers. Light weight and heavy duty casters allow the ultra portable dehumidifiers to be moved and placed almost anywhere. Keeping with our tradition of making energy efficient products, Soleus Air created this new line of dehumidifiers to adhere to all Energy Star dehumidifier standards. In addition to portability and energy efficiency, Soleus Air have added the low temperature operation to our feature packed dehumidifier line. Low temperature operation allows the units to operate in a basement all year round without freezing up and shutting off.

I bought this dehumidifier to replace a still-functioning but ancient model. Wow what a difference in efficiency! I am quite pleased with it. The bucket is rather small and needs emptied frequently if the option for a continual drain hose is not used, and the unit does generate a good bit of heat, but my basement has never been drier. Good value.

Before I decided to buy this product, I did some preliminary research on other brands. At the end, I picked this product based on the product's reviews. This dehumidifier is relatively quite and it actually works very well reducing humidity. I was surprised that I got a lot of water from the container; and my bedroom was dry. I am very happy with the product; and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to purchase a dehumidifier to try this brand.

Smaller size than older devices. Works very well. I am sensitive to sound and it makes some noise. Not enough to disrupt talking on the phone. We have some moisture in our basement. The 30 pint container fills up in about 1 day of continuous run.

Overall, this has been terrific. It works quite well, is easy to move around and easy to empty. The only complaint I have is that the hookup for the hose is really inconvenient. It's in a bad place and difficult to hook up. Once there, it's okay though. Since you have to put it up higher than the hose for it to work, I don't bother with the hose anymore and just empty it when I need to. It's great to have a timer on it or the choice to let it run continuously. Good machine and well built.

Great for a little pint.

I've had this machine for about 6 weeks and have used it many times. It's great for small areas--mine's in semi-finished basement. I don't run it all day, however, since it sucks up moisture well in 4-hour intervals (one of 2 automatic settings you can program, the other being 2 hours). I tried running it longer a couple of times, but smaller intervals seem to work better. I also don't have it hooked up to a hose for drainage, but use the machine's reservoir instead (recycle the water on my garden plants). The auto shut-off is a great feature when the reservoir gets too full. This isn't a heavy duty machine (which may explain some of the negative reviews where it sounds as if machine is running a lot), but it pulls the moisture beautifully from my basement in, again, the short cycles that I program. It's construction is solid (for plastic), the wheels work well and make an otherwise heavy machine easy to move around (not always the case on heavy molded plastic products), and the functions are fairly idiot-proof. I haven't changed the filter yet, so can't speak to that feature. Surprisingly compact and stylish as well. Will be getting one for my first floor next summer, assuming this one continues to purr like the happy little kitten it is right now...
