For damaged or defective unit, please contact rma@pc4usa.com within 5 days of receiving the product.

DOA (Dead on arrival) Exchange: If item is defective or damaged during transit, we will send a new replacement to you without any cost. Exchange will only be made with the same model.

Returns for refund: Customers are responsible to ship unit back to manufacturer's warehouse at their own expense. A 15% restocking fee will be applied and $40.00 shipping and handling charges that included in the original selling price are non-refundable regardless if unit is defective.

Once product is shipped, refused package is considered as returns as well and return policy will be applied.

I've turned the unit on and within 10 minutes, the RH humidity dropped from 59% (72F) to 53% (73F). An hour later, it was down to 50% (74F).
Quietness: it's my first dehumidifier but I think it is pretty quiet (quieter than my bathroom fan). Sounds much like a wall air conditioning unit. The sound is quite soothing for me but may not apply to others.
Coverage: works pretty well where the unit is located but takes a bit longer to bring down the humidity in the other rooms. My place is 922 sq ft.
Reliability: I just got it so don't know what will break down first; many of the reviews for ALL dehumidifiers indicate the life expectancy for these are between 6 - 18 months. I expect the same for this unit.
Usability: easy, easy, and easy
I like this unit because I see results immediately. The air smells cleaner when using it.
My 4 stars is based on short performance but I would give it 5 stars if it continues to work after 2 years.

What dampness?

My new 70 pint SPT dehumidifier has gotten the damp musty smell out of my basement in two days. My previous unit from another company would have taken 4 - 5 days to achieve the same level of humidity control. Located in the basement as ours is, there is only a soft purr to let us know when it is at work. It's early into its life but all has started very well.
