I knew that I was spending about $15 extra for this Sunpentown fan.I am so glad I did. No buyers remorse here. The finish and design reminds me of a product that would have been produced by a company such as Apple or Zojirushi.The features and the control display are eye catching,so much so that I would not recommend this for a family with youngsters(it would fast become a plaything).I feel that for the extra money,it's worth it. You will be more than pleased with this eye appealing fan.JJB

Attractive Fan With Lots of Features!

This item has all the features I was looking for in a 12-inch fan. First of all, it is extremely attractive-looking with the blue and white design. The way the oscillation works is really a plus, and I really like the fact that the fan itself doesen't move from side to side while oscillating. You can pick the fan up by the recessed handle at the top, and the remote makes it very convenient. It sits on two feet, which holds down the vibration, and tilts to the desired angle. It has low, medium, and high speeds, and puts out a lot of air. It is fairly quiet-running for the amount of air it generates. The timer is another nifty feature. All in all, this fan is PERFECT for my needs, and I think all the features justify the price!

Quiet, Attractive, Unique Form of "Oscillation",

This Sunpentown fan doesn't oscillate in the sense that the fan moves back and forth, rather there is an additional screen that diffuses the air in a wider arc. The effect is very effective and pleasant, producing a soft breeze. The "oscillation" feature needs to be turned on separately; we almost always use it. The fan is very quiet on the low and middle settings, and relatively quiet on high. As other reviewers have noted the design is attractive and seems sturdy (though after 6 weeks, it's too soon to say for sure). We had company over the weekend and they went away seriously considering purchasing this model.
