Great little humidifier!

Three of us at work have it and it's been working great. We all use it non-stop Monday-Friday, running it straight for 8 hours a day at our desks. I'm not sure what happened to the personal humidifiers that have negative ratings but out of the 3 of us, all of them work great. A few things that helped was that in the beginning I felt that my humidifier wasn't blowing as much as my coworker's but one day I switched out the Costco water bottle for a slightly larger Dasani water bottle and somehow that seemed to do the trick. For people that run into the problem of no mist when the machine is on, you just have to adjust the top part of the device a little until the mist is able to blow out. I just played with it tilting it and such and found that after you tilt it a little and set it down lightly, it should work fine if it stops spitting out. Sometimes when too much water leaks into the machine at once, the mist blowing is off also. If that happens you should pour out the water from the machine and then attach the water bottle back into the machine at a 90 degree angle.

Works great, I live where the relative humidity is very low and this little device brings the level in my bedroom up to 70% and it feels great. No more dried out nose and the air smells fresh and clean. I use the lowest setting too. One 12oz. bottle of water lasts all night, its so easy to use. Several of my friends have bought this product and are also very pleased with it. You can't go wrong with this if you have a single room to humidify such as a bedroom. I highly recommmend it.

Excellent travel humidifier

The Supentown International Inc. (SPT) SU-1051W humidifier is my choice for a very small personal humidifier to take in a rollaway bag while traveling. For years I have taken various sized humidifiers while traveling, and this is the best very small humidifier I have yet found. It has a blue light that stays on, but that can be blocked with a little ingenuity. If the manufacturer could install a switch to turn the light off, the unit would be perfect. Using only distilled water will prolong the life of the ultrasonic mechanism, the surface of which can be rendered less effective by calcium and other deposits from tap water.

We are avid snowmobilers so my husband and I spend a lot of time traveling in the winter. This means staying in a lot of overheated, dry hotel rooms during cold and flu season. I have owned several travel humidifiers and find they work well initially but conk out after a short period of time and must be replaced. My last one was broken and I was reluctant to spend the money to replace it (instead would fill the bathtub in the hotel with hot water to humidify the room. I know--very wasteful!) until I saw this product. The reviews convinced me to try it. It is indeed extremely efficient considering it's size. It takes up no room in your bag and uses a bottle of water you probably have with you anyway. It shuts off when empty (A reason, I suspect, for the other ones breaking; they didn't turn off and later began to malfunction.)One caution: make sure the water bottle is properly sealed with the fitting provided or the humidifier will overfill and not work well. It uses a very small amount of power so I feel even less guilty. I'm getting one for friends who travel with us.

This is a great humidifier and works really well. It's small and compact and works great!! I have recommended this to many of my friends and family. I also plan on getting a few more for other rooms in our house.
