This GREENportable air conditioner is extremely mobile and can be easily setup in almost any indoor location and are most commonly used in computer / server rooms, bedrooms, classrooms and garages / workshops.
This Whynter GREEN ARC-12S portable air conditioner features the ECO-FRIENDLY CFC free GREEN R-410A refrigerant and lead free RoHS compliant components.
This unit features the advance self-evaporating technology, which uses and recycles moisture collected during cooling and heating process to produce cool air.
This unit can cool up to a 400 sq. ft. space (ambient temperature and humidity may influence optimum performance)

RECIEVED A/C 0N THE 6TH DAY AFTER ORDERING. THE A/C DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB OF COOLING A 30'X 12' AREA. COOLING IS THE ONLY FEATURE I'LL BE USING.
THE TIMER IS REALLY HANDY FOR ME AS I DON'T NEED IT TO RUN CONSTANTLY. ONLY CON I HAVE IS THE FAN RUNS CONTINUOUS. WISH IT WOULD CYCLE OFF AND ON WITH THE COMPRESSOR. I HAVEN'T HAD TO DRAIN ANY WATER FROM THE WATER TANK AND MAYBE THAT'S WHY THE FAN RUNS CONTINOUSLY. THE WINDOW VENT IS OK. I HAVE LARGER SLIDING WINDOW, SO I BOUGHT A 1"X8"X6' POPULAR WOOD BOARD AND CUT TO FIT WINDOW AND CUT A HOLE TO MOUNT THE HOSE ADAPTOR. Easy price, good performance

Plus: Good reputable product, fast and well packaged shipping and delivery, my expectations have definitely been met.
It was very easy to set up and took about less than 15 minutes to unpack and place the exhaust hose.
Apartments around here don't come with window or central units and the heat over the summer is unbearably muggy.
Able to beat back 100degree heat in a good sized living room.
Minus: Where are the hand grips? I guess even with handles it can be lifted easily. Easiest way is to hug the unit and lift. It's really easy with two people. The window kit took a few minutes to figure, but not too complicated overall.
Better than expected product that delivers.

Sleek, relatively quiet unit. Cools my entire den (250 sq. ft w/cathedral ceiling) on low within 10 minutes. Easy to install with good instructions. Has both a remote and on-unit controls. I am very happy with this unit and would recommend it to others. Seller was PC4USA. I had a minor issue in needing a replacement part. I contacted them via email thru Amazon and within an hour had return emails with a UPS tracking number and a replacement part in the mail from the manufacturer. Excellent customer service!

So it's been hot and yes I've been cheap, but after a month of unrelenting humidity and heat, I finally gave in and got myself this Whynter portable unit. In part recommended by a friend and part cos I'm love clean designs. It came in a tall serious looking box and I was able to unpack and hook it up relatively fast. The unit itself was a nice metallic finish. Now for the real test. Temperature as reported on in the last hr was 87degrees. Turned the unit on high and set it to 70degrees. The room that I'm cooling is not huge but has about an additional 25sqft of closet space that I'm trying ot cool as well, so that's about 280-300 sqfeet of area and 12ft high ceilings. Stood in front of the unit for awhile to cool down. It felt very reassuringly cold. Definitely was working away.
Left the room for about 35-40 mins and when I returned, it was definitely way more comfortable. I would estimate that it was close to 76degrees. That cooling rate was trememdously better than the 2 year old window unit that decided to fail on my last month. It runs fairly silent even on high. For the price and overall performance over the past couple of weeks, I give it a solid thumbs up.
